Paramount and Murcia

Some of you may have heard that Paramount is coming to the area. Is it fact? Well,kind of.
Paramount has in fact granted a license for a developer to build a theme park approximately the same size as Disney.
It will be around 20 minutes from the new Corvera airport (due to start flights Autumn 2011) and about 30 minutes from the existing Murcia San Javier airport.
It will be located in the Alhama area of Murcia which will be convenient for both our apartment and villa and will include the usual hotel and leisure associated with a theme park.
Rumour has it that a large water park may form part of the complex.

It is not likely to happen in the very near future. Financial backing is still being sought and once in place it will take an estimated 5 years to build.
